Ofer Publishing House, also called "Ofer Library", exists since 1957. Many generations of Israeli children grew up on its books. Ofer was founded by Shlomo Aluf, as a solution for quality and authentic Israeli literature for children, and since then and up until today, it is accessible for every budget. The publishing house includes children's literature, educational literature for teenagers, cooking books, activity booklets, books for infants, and much more variety of books in different subjects.
The children's books series-
We are glad to present you with an original, plentiful, educational, interesting and fun collection, which has been written by the country's finest authors, such as Uriel Ofek, Bina Ofek, Yizhak Damiel, Ehud Manor, David Pe'er and more. The collection is planned to provide the growing child basic ideas through simple and attractive narrative.
In Ofer's library there is a large variety of books in different subjects that develop the child's imagination, enrich his language, expand his knowledge, and provide him with good habits and skills for reading and creative writing. Amongst these books are "Hana'le and the Sabbath Dress", "The Five Senses", "Red Apple for Yossi & Itamar", "The Yuval's Mouth Carnival" and more.
The songs and chorus series-
A series of children's songbooks. Here you can find the first songs along with colorful and cheerful illustrations, from the artist H. Hechtkof, which connects the child to the song.
The Activity Booklets series- Rich activity booklets for preschoolers, kindergarten, and 1st to 4th graders for acquiring knowledge, enrichment, creativity, and leisure.
The series of harmonic books for infants-
This series includes pictures of animals, objects, first activities as well narrative pictures in a wide selection. The books are without glue for the child's safety
The Teenage Series-
A series of booklets using a focused learning method which is recommended by The Israeli Ministry of Education. The booklets are suited for heterogeneous classroom studying, their language is simple, and they discuss subjects that interest every teenager. In each booklet there are stories, jokes, real life events, folk tales and idioms. Most of the material is from Jewish folk wisdom (Hazal). The activities are recommended to be done alone or in a group. The contents of the booklets coincide with the different subjects in school and create special integration. The booklets were recommended in the notice from the main administration, as well the religious administration, by psychologists and educators. Most of all the booklets give great pleasure to students.
They are recommended for elementary and middle school.
Adult books- A quality collection that includes humor, cooking and history books.
Ofer books for children come in three different forms: soft copy, nylon cover, and hard copy.
